CHINA LOTTERY PERFORMANCE: January 2010 UP 71% YOY

For Jan 2010, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 71% YOY to RMB 12.70 billion YOY (Jan 2009: RMB 7.44 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

The lottery sales data reveals:

I. WELFARE LOTTERY

For Jan 2010, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 59.29% (RMB 7.53 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up 73% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 83.27% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 10.23%, and VLT of about 6.51%.

a. Welfare Lotto

For Jan 2010, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB 6.27 billion, up 64% YOY.

b. Welfare Instant Scratch Cards

For Jan 2010, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 0.77billion, up 45% YOY.

c. Video Lottery

For Jan 2010, VLT sales reached RMB 0.49 billion (Jan 2009: 0.004 billion).

II. SPORTS LOTTERY

For Jan 2010, Sports Lottery accounted for about 40.71% (RMB 5.17 billion) of total lottery sales for the month. Lotto accounted for about 69.25% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 19.54%, and Single Match Game of about 11.22%.

a. Sports Lotto

For Jan 2010, Sports Lotto sales is approximately RMB 3.58 billion.

b. Sports Instant Scratch Cards

For Jan 2010, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.01 billion, up 40 % YOY.

c. Single Match Game

For Jan 2010, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 0.58 billion, up 107% YOY.
