For Jan 2011, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 26% YOY to RMB 16.01 billion YOY (Jan 2010: RMB 12.70 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

 

The lottery sales data reveals:

 

For Jan 2011, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 58.21% (RMB 9.32 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up 24% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 72.75% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 13.30%, and VLT of about 13.95%.

 

For Jan 2011, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB 6.78 billion, up 7% YOY.

 

For Jan 2011, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.24 billion, up 59% YOY.

 

For Jan 2011, VLT sales reached RMB 1.30 billion (Jan 2010: 0.44 billion). Strong growth momentum maintains following the launch of new games across the nation since late 2009.

 

For Jan 2011, Sports Lottery accounted for about 41.79% (RMB 6.69 billion) of total lottery sales for the month. Lotto accounted for about 52.77% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 19.58%, and Single Match Game of about 27.65%.

 

For Jan 2011, Sports Lotto sales is approximately RMB 3.53 billion.

 

For Jan 2011, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.31 billion, up 28% YOY.

 

For Jan 2011, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 1.85 billion, up 225% YOY.
