CHINA LOTTERY PERFORMANCE: November 2010 UP 37% YOY; Jan to November 2010 UP 25% YOY

For Nov 2010, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 37% YOY to RMB 16.02 billion YOY (Nov 2009: RMB 11.70 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

For Jan-Nov 2010, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 25% YOY to RMB 149.06 billion YOY (Jan-Nov 2009: RMB 119.15 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

The lottery sales data reveals:

I. WELFARE LOTTERY

For Nov 2010, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 57.43% (RMB 9.20 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up 37% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 73.04% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 15.33%, and VLT of about 11.63%.

For Jan-Nov 2010, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 58.08% (RMB 86.57 billion) of total lottery sales for the period, up 27% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 75.98% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 14.67%, and VLT of about 9.35%.

a. Welfare Lotto

For Nov 2010, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB 6.72 billion, up 17% YOY.

For Jan-Nov 2010, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB 65.78 billion, up 12% YOY.

b. Welfare Instant Scratch Cards

For Nov 2010, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.41 billion, up 90% YOY.

For Jan-Nov 2010, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 12.70 billion, up 52% YOY.

c. Video Lottery

For Nov 2010, VLT sales reached RMB 1.07 billion.

For Jan-Nov 2010, VLT sales reached RMB 8.09 billion. Strong growth momentum maintains following the launch of new games across the nation since late 2009.

II. SPORTS LOTTERY

For Nov 2010, Sports Lottery accounted for about 42.57% (RMB 6.82 billion) of total lottery sales for the month. Lotto accounted for about 50.59% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 21.99%, and Single Match Game of about 27.42%.

For Jan-Nov 2010, Sports Lottery accounted for about 41.92% (RMB 62.49 billion) of total lottery sales for the period. Lotto accounted for about 55.53% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 23.65%, and Single Match Game of about 20.82%.

a. Sports Lotto

For Nov 2010, Sports Lotto sales increased by 10% YOY to approximately RMB 3.45 billion.

For Jan-Nov 2010, Sports Lotto sales increased by 10% YOY to approximately RMB 34.70 billion.

b. Sports Instant Scratch Cards

For Nov 2010, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.50 billion, up 39 % YOY.

For Jan-Nov 2010, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 14.78 billion, up 8% YOY.

c. Single Match Game

For Nov 2010, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 1.87 billion, up 143% YOY.

For Jan-Nov 2010, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 13.01 billion, up 124% YOY due to nationwide rollout since December 2009.
