CHINA LOTTERY PERFORMANCE: April 2011 UP 32% YOY; Jan To April 2011 UP 33% YOY

For April 2011, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 32% YOY to RMB 18.65 billion YOY (April 2010: RMB 14.12 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

For Jan to April 2011, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 33% YOY to RMB 64.96 billion YOY (Jan to April 2010: RMB 48.73 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

The lottery sales data reveals:

I. WELFARE LOTTERY

For April 2011, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 57.06% (RMB 10.59 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up 31% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 66.48% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 20.50%, and VLT of about 13.03%.

For Jan to April 2011, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 58.10% (RMB 37.74 billion) of total lottery sales for the period, up 33% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 69.08% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 17.46%, and VLT of about 13.46%.

a. Welfare Lotto

For April 2011, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB7.04 billion, up 17% YOY.

For Jan to April 2011, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB 26.07 billion, up 17% YOY.

b. Welfare Instant Scratch Cards

For April 2011, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 2.17 billion, up 54% YOY.

For Jan to April 2011, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 6.59 billion, up 66% YOY.

c. Video Lottery

For April 2011, VLT sales were 1.38 billion, up 100% YOY.

For Jan to April 2011, VLT sales reached RMB 5.08 billion. Strong growth momentum is maintained following the launch of new games across the nation since late 2009.

II. SPORTS LOTTERY

For April 2011, Sports Lottery accounted for about 43.22% (RMB 8.06 billion) of total lottery sales for the month. Lotto accounted for about 49.38% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 24.69%, and Single Match Game of about 25.93%.

For Jan to April 2011, Sports Lottery accounted for about 41.90% (RMB 27.22 billion) of total lottery sales for the period. Lotto accounted for about 50.04% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 23.59 %, and Single Match Game of about 26.38%.

a. Sports Lotto

For April 2011, Sports Lotto sales is approximately RMB 3.98 billion.

For Jan to April 2011, Sports Lotto sales increased by 10% YOY to approximately RMB 13.62 billion.

b. Sports Instant Scratch Cards

For April 2011, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.99 billion, up 14 % YOY.

For Jan to April 2011, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 6.42 billion, up 29% YOY.

c. Single Match Game

For April 2011, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 2.09 billion, up 115% YOY.

For Jan to April 2011, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 7.18 billion, up 131% YOY due to nationwide rollout since December 2009.
