For July 2011, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 37% YOY to RMB 18.21 billion YOY (July 2010: RMB 13.27 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

For Jan to July 2011, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 32% YOY to RMB 119.35 billion YOY (Jan to July 2010: RMB 90.51 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

The lottery sales data reveals:

I.   WELFARE LOTTERY

For July 2011, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 61.83% (RMB 11.26 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up 44% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 73.71% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 13.32%, and VLT of about 12.97%.

For Jan to July 2011, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 58.86% (RMB 70.25 billion) of total lottery sales for the period, up 34% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 70.06% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 16.67%, and VLT of about 13.27%.

a. Welfare Lotto

For July 2011, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB8.30 billion, up 39% YOY.

For Jan to June 2011, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB 49.22 billion, up 22% YOY.

b. Welfare Instant Scratch Cards

For July 2011, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.50 billion, up 38% YOY.

For Jan to July 2011, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 11.71 billion, up 50% YOY.

c. Video Lottery

For July 2011, VLT sales were 1.46 billion, up 87% YOY.

For Jan to July 2011, VLT sales reached RMB 9.32 billion, up 115% YOY. Strong growth momentum is maintained following the launch of new games across the nation since late 2009.

II.    SPORTS LOTTERY

For July 2011, Sports Lottery accounted for about 38.17% (RMB 6.95 billion) of total lottery sales for the month. Lotto accounted for about 59.14% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 21.15%, and Single Match Game of about 19.71%.

For Jan to July 2011, Sports Lottery accounted for about 41.14% (RMB 49.1 billion) of total lottery sales for the period. Lotto accounted for about 52.97% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 23.28 %, and Single Match Game of about 23.75%.

a. Sports Lotto

For July 2011, Sports Lotto sales is approximately RMB 4.11 billion, up 37 % YOY.

For Jan to July 2011, Sports Lotto sales increased by 19% YOY to approximately RMB 26.01 billion.

b. Sports Instant Scratch Cards

For July 2011, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.47 billion, up 20 % YOY.

For Jan to July 2011, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 11.43 billion, up 23% YOY.

c. Single Match Game

For July 2011, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 1.37 billion, up 15 % YOY.

For Jan to July 2011, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 11.66 billion, up 70% YOY due to nationwide rollout since December 2009.
