For Jan to October 2011, total lottery sales recorded a growth of 34% YOY to RMB 178.09 billion YOY (Jan to October 2010: RMB 133.03 billion).Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

The lottery sales data reveals:

I. WELFARE LOTTERY

For October 2011, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 55.58% (RMB 11.30 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up 31% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 72.74% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 13.89%, and VLT of about 13.36%.

For Jan to October 2011, Welfare Lottery accounted for about 57.87% (RMB 103.06 billion) of total lottery sales for the period, up 33% YOY. Lotto games accounted for about 70.62% of total welfare lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 15.99%, and VLT of about 13.39%.

a. Welfare Lotto

For October 2011, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB8.22 billion, up 27% YOY.

For Jan to October 2011, Welfare Lotto sales were RMB 72.78 billion, up 23% YOY.

b. Welfare Instant Scratch Cards

For October 2011, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.57 billion, up 31% YOY.

For Jan to October 2011, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 16.48 billion, up 46% YOY.

c. Video Lottery

For October 2011, VLT sales were 1.51 billion, up 53% YOY.

For Jan to October 2011, VLT sales reached RMB 13.80 billion, up 97% YOY. Strong growth momentum is maintained following the launch of new games across the nation since late 2009.

II. SPORTS LOTTERY

For October 2011, Sports Lottery accounted for about 44.42% (RMB 9.03 billion) of total lottery sales for the month. Lotto accounted for about 57.92% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 18.72%, and Single Match Game of about 23.36%.

For Jan to October 2011, Sports Lottery accounted for about 42.13% (RMB 75.03 billion) of total lottery sales for the period. Lotto accounted for about 54.46% of total Sports Lottery sales, followed by Instant Scratch Cards of about 21.84%, and Single Match Game of about 23.70%.

a. Sports Lotto

For October 2011, Sports Lotto sales is approximately RMB 5.23 billion, up 58% YOY.

For Jan to October 2011, Sports Lotto sales increased by 31% YOY to approximately RMB 40.86 billion.

b. Sports Instant Scratch Cards

For October 2011, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 1.69 billion, up 22 % YOY.

For Jan to October 2011, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were RMB 16.39 billion, up 23% YOY.

c. Single Match Game

For October 2011, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 2.11 billion, up 28 % YOY.

For Jan to October 2011, Sports Single Match Game Sales were RMB 17.78 billion, up 59% YOY due to nationwide rollout since December 2009.
