For Jan to May 2012, total lottery sales recorded a growth of approximately 28.4% YOY to approximately RMB 107.442 billion (Jan to May 2011: approximately RMB 83.691 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

The lottery sales data reveals:

I.    WELFARE LOTTERY

For May 2012, Welfare Lottery accounted for approximately 59.34% (approximately RMB 14.013 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up approximately 29.8% YOY. Lotto games accounted for approximately 73.60% of total welfare lottery sales, Instant Scratch Cards of approximately 13.17%, and VLT of approximately 13.23%.

For Jan to May2012, Welfare Lottery accounted for approximately 58.32% (approximately RMB 62.659 billion) of total lottery sales for the period, up 29.1% YOY. Lotto games accounted for approximately 72.36% of total welfare lottery sales, Instant Scratch Cards of approximately 14.29%, and VLT of approximately 13.35%.

a. Welfare Lotto

For May 2012, Welfare Lotto sales were approximately RMB 10.313billion, up approximately 38.4% YOY.

For Jan to May2012, Welfare Lotto sales were approximately RMB 45.337billion, up approximately 35.2% YOY.

b. Welfare Instant Scratch Cards

For May 2012, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were approximately RMB 1.846 billion, downapproximately 5.1% YOY.

For Jan to May2012, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were approximately RMB 8.955 billion, up approximately 4.9% YOY.

c. Welfare Video Lottery

For May 2012, Welfare VLT sales wereapproximately 1.854 billion, upapproximately 33.0% YOY.

For Jan to May2012, Welfare VLT sales reached approximately RMB 8.367 billion, up approximately 29.3% YOY.

II.  SPORTS LOTTERY

For May 2012, Sports Lottery accounted for approximately 40.66% (approximately RMB 9.603 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up approximately 21.0% YOY. Lotto games accounted for approximately 56.76% of total Sports Lottery sales, Instant Scratch Cards of approximately 18.07%, and Single Match Game of approximately 25.17%.

For Jan to May2012, Sports Lottery accounted for approximately 41.68% (approximately RMB 44.783 billion) of total lottery sales for the period, up approximately 27.4% YOY. Lotto games accounted for approximately 57.52% of total Sports Lottery sales, Instant Scratch Cards of approximately 17.86%, and Single Match Game of approximately 24.62%.

a. Sports Lotto

For May 2012, Sports Lotto sales were approximately RMB 5.451 billion, up approximately 28.9% YOY.

For Jan to May2012, Sports Lotto sales were approximately RMB 25.758 billion, up approximately 44.3% YOY.

b. Sports Instant Scratch Cards

For May 2012, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were approximately RMB 1.736 billion, downapproximately 6.6% YOY.

For Jan to May2012, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were approximately RMB 7.999 billion, down approximately 3.4% YOY.

c. Sports Single Match Game

For May 2012, Sports Single Match Game sales were approximately RMB 2.417 billion, up approximately 30.8% YOY.
