Announced by the Ministry of Finance, for July 2012, total lottery sales recorded a growth of approximately 10.9% YOY to approximately RMB 20.198 billion (July 2011: approximately RMB 18.205 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

For Jan to July 2012, total lottery sales recorded a growth of approximately 25.1% YOY to approximately RMB 149.254 billion (Jan to July 2011: approximately RMB 119.349 billion). Please refer to the attachment for breakdown.

The lottery sales data reveals:

I.    WELFARE LOTTERY

For July 2012, Welfare Lottery accounted for approximately 61.22% (approximately RMB 12.366 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up approximately 9.8% YOY. Lotto games,Instant Scratch Cards and VLT accounted for approximately 73.17%,11.30% and 15.53% of total welfare lottery sales respectively.

For Jan to July2012, Welfare Lottery accounted for approximately 58.67% (approximately RMB 87.562 billion) of total lottery sales for the period, up 24.6% YOY. Lotto games, Instant Scratch Cards and VLT accounted for approximately 72.48%, 13.68% and 13.85%of total welfare lottery sales respectively.

a. Welfare Lotto

For July2012, Welfare Lotto sales were approximately RMB 9.048 billion, up approximately 9.0% YOY.

For Jan to July2012, Welfare Lotto sales were approximately RMB 63.464 billion, up approximately 28.9% YOY.

b. Welfare Instant Scratch Cards

For July2012, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were approximately RMB 1.397 billion, down approximately 6.7% YOY.

For Jan to July2012, Welfare Instant Scratch Cards sales were approximately RMB 11.974 billion, up approximately 2.2% YOY.

c. Welfare Video Lottery

For July2012, Welfare VLT sales were approximately 1.921 billion, up approximately 31.3% YOY.

For Jan to July2012, Welfare VLT sales reached approximately RMB 12.124 billion, up approximately 30.2% YOY.

II.  SPORTS LOTTERY

For July2012, Sports Lottery accounted for approximately 38.78% (approximately RMB 7.832 billion) of total lottery sales for the month, up approximately 12.7% YOY. Lotto games, Instant Scratch Cards and Single Match Game accounted for approximately 62.63%,16.46% and 20.91% of total Sports Lottery sales respectively.

For Jan to July2012, Sports Lottery accounted for approximately 41.33% (approximately RMB 61.692 billion) of total lottery sales for the period, up approximately 25.6% YOY. Lotto games,Instant Scratch Cards and Single Match Game accounted for approximately 58.11%,17.62% and 24.27% of total Sports Lottery sales respectively.

a. Sports Lotto

For July2012, Sports Lotto sales were approximately RMB 4.905 billion, up approximately 19.4% YOY.

For Jan to July2012, Sports Lotto sales were approximately RMB 35.849 billion, up approximately 37.8% YOY.

b. Sports Instant Scratch Cards

For July2012, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were approximately RMB 1.289 billion, down approximately 12.1% YOY.

For Jan to July2012, Sports Instant Scratch Cards sales were approximately RMB 10.871 billion, down approximately 4.9% YOY.

c. Sports Single Match Game

For July2012, Sports Single Match Game sales were approximately RMB 1.638 billion, up approximately 19.4% YOY.

For Jan to July2012, Sports Single Match Game sales were approximately RMB 14.972 billion, up approximately 28.4% YOY.
